Exmobaby – The Smart Pajamas.

The name sounds Matrix-like but, trust me, this is not some kind of creepy exoskeleton for babies. In fact, it’s a next generation smart pajamas for your infant. It has an embedded ECG in the garment, measures movement, skin temperature and moisture, and sends all the information to a docking station. The data is transmitted via an FM transmitter and the station is kept at a safe distance from the crib so no electronics is near your baby. Since this is not you regular onesie, the price is quite high. For a grand you will get the basic model garment, 6 months of online service, the PC and smartphone software and the Zigbeee transceiver. The deluxe package will add four garment sizes and another $1,500 to the base price. Exmobaby is washable, hypoallergenic, cotton and comes in pink or blue.
Mimo – Nighty Night, Sleep Tight!

This is the cheaper version of Exmobaby because it does almost the same. Again, this is a onesie (also called kimono on the official site) with an attachable little gadget shaped like a little green turtle. It monitors the body position, skin temperature, wake/sleep in real time and it also streams audio. Plus, at the end of the day it shows you a daily timeline of how much sleep the baby got. The kimonos come in a neutral white-ish colour that is suitable for both boys and girls but there is already a Rainbow collection of kimonos in yellow, blue and pink. The technology used to transmit the data is Bluetooth Low Energy, which is safer than a standard audio monitor and uses lower power than your smartphone. If you’d like you can add a movement monitor to the basic kit. It looks like a crib sheet and you attach the little turtle to it. All Mimo products are 100% cotton, machine washable and you can buy them in different sizes so that they fit your growing baby. Last but not least, they can be used together with the Nest temperature app, so that you can adjust the temperature in the nursery right from your phone. And you can also buy a Nest camera so that you see your baby wherever you are.

After you capture the crying one of 5 buttons lights up to tell you if the motive is: sleep, stress, hunger, discomfort or boredom. The device boasts 96% rate of accuracy, which is quite impressive.
